Essential oils not only affect the physical but also the mental and
emotional aspects of our lives. The inhalation of certain essential oils has
been associated with the release of brain chemicals that simulate various
emotions.
Citronella Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of a tropical grass.
Citronella has a grassy, lemony aroma and contains warming and stimulating
qualities on both the mental and physical state. Dilute with massage oil and rub
on affected area until you feel warmth to help sore joints and muscles.
Excellent astringent for oily skin just dilute 3 drops of essential oil per cup
of water. To make a citronella collar for your pet simply dilute the citronella oil with massage oil and rub your pets collar with a cotton ball to
repel bugs.
When purchasing Essential Oil of Citronella make sure they are 100% pure
botanical extracts, not chemical reproductions of different fragrances. Chemical
reproductions are not effective in aromatherapy because they do not evoke the
same biochemical response as natural, pure essential oils.
Herbal Choice's Citronella Oil comes in a 0.42oz amber glass bottle to help
protect it from light. May be used with Herbal Choices carrier oils such as
Almond & Jojoba as massage oils. Blends well with Lavender and Eucalyptus.
Care: Do not use oils full strength. Always dilute them first. Avoid during
pregnancy. Keep essential oils out of reach of children.
